The Kali image for the Note 10.1 boots natively, and should detect the external USB WiFi.
As far as I know, the available Kali image for tablet is specific to the Note 10.1.
The only way to install on Non-Note 10.1 or any tablet and smartphone is through android apps such as Linux...
Wouldn't it be great it USB WiFi adapters worked out of the box with Android? Smartphones I believe are as close as we are going to get to cybersecurity inspired tricorders. Long battery life and...
I have been successful with Win32DiskImager, but only after renaming to as referenced in the Kali installation instructions.
Hopefully the packaged image gets updated so that we don't have to do...
Thanks- I will try this configuration.
Yep. I went through the same cycle of babysitting the NHR (8188/8192), wasting hours searching the internet for answers until I just got sick of it. People who have claimed 'success' seem to only get...
This thread might be able to help:

You will need to read through the postings to figure out what was done to make the card...
I have tested these cards to work. They are compatible with both BT5 r3/Kali and require no additional tinkering:
Rt3070:...
Wow!
Could you please add support for the rt2800 driver? This driver allows dozens of compatible usb wifi devices based on the following ralink chipsets: rt3070 (ALFA AWUS036NH), rt5370,...
To anyone reading this post about which card to get, the 1000mw or 2000mw rating Alfa advertises for the 036H and the NHR, this is because of the 9dbi antenna, not because of the card. To get the...
Addendum to post concerning internal cards: most internal mini-pci-e WiFi cards that comes with laptops already support aircrack if you're booting Kali natively (not from VM).
If you're booting...
Unless you're only going to test WEP, any card based on 8192CU chipset is crippled for aircrack. It cannot detect clients, therefore it is incapable of deauthentication and capturing WPA handshake.
...
The NH uses rt3070 and the NHA ar9271 chipsets respectively.
It is better focus more on the chipset rather than the vendor model. Just about
any wifi card that uses the rt2800 source driver works...
The NHA has the AR9271 atheros chipset, which is plug and play with Kali.
Make sure you have run the apt-get update and apt-get upgrade commands right after the initial install.
Use wifite to...

Yeah you won't be able to use wash if Kali doesn't boot.
How long have you been using Linux?
What size usb did you install kali in?
If you type gparted then enter in terminal, what do you see?
If you run airmon-ng, wlan0 is typically your built-in wifi and wlan1 or wlan2 gets assigned to the external usb wifi.
Run just 'airmon-ng' to list your interfaces. It should display your built-in...
How long has it been since your initial install? Any changes or installation of software other than what is included in Kali?
Kali needs between 6-8gb in total for the system update to function.
The quickest way is to use gparted to increase the space (this is assuming there is unallocated space left in the USB).
Are...
It is referring to the main partition where Kali is installed. You don't have enough space.
I have an ss808. Do you available copies of the drivers above? I couldn't find them in the slatedroid link.
Yep. Click enter after each command.
Before you make any changes, run apt-get update then apt-get upgrade. Then run wash command.
Complete Linux Installer, Linux Deploy
Both are available in GooglePlay.
Based on what you said, we can eliminate the card as the problem.
Do you have a live cd/dvd or live usb with kali or bt 5 you can boot with? In terminal after boot, try to run wifite from there or...
Check out amazon for the AWUS051NH.
Alfa AWUS051NH is dual band and uses the same driver (rt2800) as the Ralink 3070-based AWUS036NH (single band). The 051NH should work out the box because the rt2800 driver is preloaded in Kali.
Have you done the apt-get update then apt-get upgrade? Another consideration is that you may have a bad or fake NHR. Oh yeah, I had the NHR once too and it sucked so bad I returned it.

I found this link and it is somewhat old. However, the information is still somewhat relevant to anyone interested in wireless and wireless security.

Do you have a spare drive with fresh install of kali or can you boot to live CD?
Sometimes it's best to have a established system baseline. This way you can eliminate potential software and...
I have purchased four 036h from Amazon and would to say they all work out of the box in bt5 and Kali.
Test the card with 'normal' Windows and Linux setup. This should help in troubleshooting to see if you received a lemon.
Also, make sure you run apt-get update then apt-get upgrade in bt5 and Kali.
The NHR works somewhat but it can neither see clients nor perform fake authentication. I've tested the NHR on backtrack r3 with patched drivers.
Kali in VMware and Raspberry Pi will detect and...
Mostly for compatibility with existing drivers and programs. Also, most of the pen testing tools do not require or take advantage of 64-bit processing (except perhaps scanning and encryption...
I don't think realtek ever planned the 8188/8192 to be a packet injection monster, even if Alfa got fooled into selling the 8188/8192 based NHR. Using the NHR and edimax 7811, both are blind to...
Compatibility and familiarity. Yes you can install free open source software, but they tend to add a layer of complexity when exchanging files. Corporate environment is still largely run on Microsoft...
The AWUS052NH is supposed to be a successor to the AWUS051NH.

Don't bother with the NHR or any card that uses the 8192cu driver. I had the NHR and now the edimax 7811, and while the range is excellent, packet injection is slow or doesn't work (especially when...
I don't know if you've already been at XDA forum, but here's a thread on the Asustf300. The driver just might work in your tf700.

If so, which linux/compat wireless driver are you using? I am asking because while the RTL8192CU is detected and wifite is running, WEP cracking is slow and does not complete, and WPA handshake are...
Yep, 4GB in your internal memory is not enough. You just might barely make it with Complete Linux Installer and the 3.8gb kali image if you want to use the internal memory. Please read my previous...
Thanks. Is this command the same as apt-get purge? Will it get rid of the config files as well?
Only the RasPi is armel, but the only distro that will work on phones is the image meant for the Galaxy 10.1. Your best bet is to use Linux Deploy to automate the chroot process. You will need at...

That's good to know. Thanks.
This installation is cursed- I've installed Kali half a dozen times and never had authentication problem with ssh before. It's a fresh install so every authentication should be the first time.

I've tried the sed command before as well as modifying the ssh_config file but still getting the message.
No luck with navigating to that directory:

How do I navigate to this directory? The ~ doesn't work this time
