I have still the same problem with Kali. If I am not working and I leave my laptop with Kali there is a black screen of death with only white underscore in the left top corner. Nothing more....

I had the same problem and I had to reinstalled Kali but what does it mean that you are unable to log in? What do you see on the screen during this issue?

It doesn't work. I have checked few times and a login prompt doesn't appear.
