Have you tried setting the continuous attack to a fixed number say 5. This may make a difference. (-0 0 -a) to (-0 5 -a)
I think you've posted this in the wrong section. In answer to your question you need to setup a partition with persistence in order to make and keep changes to the live usb.
Fixed the issue by following the instructions in another thread. Issue seemed to be caused by device not seeing free space available.
