Try plugging them in and running dmesg?
I have issues with my Broadcom card in kali. It does not work out of the box with kali. I had to use my Alfa card in the installation process
you just open a terminal and type these 2 lines
service postgresql start
service metasploit start
afterwards, open metasploit and run db_status
it should say connected to postgresql
those...
I've tested it with safari and firefox. You may have to clear your cache.
This is exactly what I do in this order
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --destination-port 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 8080
sslstrip -k -l 8080
...
my command for sslstrip is sslstrip -k -l 8080
I used it yesterday and it stripped everything
Plus it will only give an "EXTREMELY large amount of text" if you want an extremely large word list. If you want a medium word list, expect a medium output
And you expected no text from a word list? You can either do it where it shows text in the terminal itself, you can have it output to a file or you can pipe it with aircrack and run as it generates...
Did you use unetbootin to download kali ?
Use crunch. It's built into kali. It generates Wordlists. Exactly what you want. Google it and read into it, but its already installed in kali. It's extremely simple to use and does the job.
Ahhh yeah.
Let me know if your issue is resolved
Nothing is changing channels. I've used reaver for hours with only a lockout message. No errors or anything. I just use reaver -i mon0 -b bssid here -vv
I'm just confirming that I have no problem with airodump and reaver.
Weird but I think on the kali site they say to not use unetbootin to burn kali. Could be an error caused by that v
I don't know why it's doing that :/ has to be from the live boot. I get 0 problems with the HD install
airodump stops searching when you want a channel by typing airodump-ng --bssid (bssid here) -c (channel here) mon0 then run reaver. It won't hop around on any more channels since you specified a...
Yeah I know there are some issues with a live CD. Sorry, I can't help you with the live CD issue :/
I'm just confirming that I have that method working flawlessly. I use 64 bit and it's my only OS on my PC. everything is updated to the latest version. It strips every site.
You're supposed to get untrusted since it's becoming http and not https, it's no longer safe. Most people ignore it. It could be because you're using a VM. I have it installed to my HD and it strips...
This is what I do
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --destination-port 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 8080
sslstrip -k -l 8080 #to listen for traffic going through your redirected port, 8080
I...
Are you arp poisoning? If you're not, then no traffic will get redirected to you, meaning none will be sslstripped and nothing will be logged
What are you logging into?all you have to do is run those commands and then run metasploit. Then run db_status. On a fresh install, when starting the services, you should have seen it building a...
sorry it's not post.d, I wasn't at my computer when I wrote that. It's rc.d
You don't need to edit any config file.
you just open a terminal and type these 2 lines
service postgresql start
...
I see a permission denied error. Not sure what to do for that. I never got that. I couldn't get rid of the error either so I purged metasploit, once it was purged I reinstalled it. Before I even...
http://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?2601-Metasploit-starting-issue&
Then run metasploit and type
db_status
To check if you're connected
and for this, you do not add your interface or anything. Literally just remove the Comments from it (#) and that's it.
To answer your question about dsniff, you don't need to do anything special. If you want to do it my way, just one all the commands I listed in that order In a terminal.
Mine does the same thing. It only reads the data of the network I'm connected to. Just disconnect from all networks and re run it
I haven't changed anything. But I also only use ettercap to get passwords which is made by dsniff
it could also be your sslstrip command
maybe try
sslstrip -k -l 10000 #since you're redirecting to go through port 10,000
but I recommend my way, seeing how I have no problems with it.
plus...
this is what I do because I have problems with the arp spoofing with ettercap, I just use ettercap for credentials
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp...
you can also use
update-rc.d postgresql enable
update-rd.d metasploit enable
this will start the services at start up so you don't have to type those commands every time to connect.
Well I don't dual boot and I use the 64 bit so I'm not sure if that matters with this specific driver.
I have a lenovo thinkpad x131e and it has a BCM4313 and it did NOT work with kali. I think you have to get drivers for it. I had to use my alfa chipset in order to connect anywhere. Also the BCM4313...
No problem (: I just know because I was having that same exact problem! Glad it worked out (:
I use a Lenovo think pad x131e. It's a very attractive notebook and it runs Kali great. Only thing is that the Bcm wifi card is not supported right off the bat, but it runs Alfa cards great. I use...
I had the same problem. I'll tell you what I did. I'm guessing you're using network manager? I just installed wicd and then AFTER I installed wicd, I purged network manager. Wicd is a little easier...
Everything happens once it gets to connecting to http.kali.org (173.246.39.1) and when its checking headers. The internet on that laptop stops working and the upgrade stops and eventually says it...
It's the default. Nothing spelled wrong and it's not missing anything. I think the problem is wicd because it keeps freezing. I was booting off of an older Kali ISO that I've had since the day kali...
I just reinstalled my kali linux laptop, now when I run apt-get update (that runs fine), then I run apt-get upgrade it won't connect to the kali websites and shuts off my internet, Every single time....
None of that worked ): so i did a fresh quick kali install (had nothing to lose) and everything is working perfect now. Thanks for your help though!
I've done this................
I'm not an idiot.. I'm just saying, it says I have a password auth fail, yet it still loads msfconsole fine I guess; it takes like a minute or so to load it though...
it says the "metasplot web server is not running ... failed!"
Yup, I've checked all of this and I've reinstalled postgresql multiple times. Everything is correct
Did that. When I do db_connect msf3:password and the rest of the command, it tells me password auth fail. I'm copying and pasting the exact password from the .yml file. I'm not understanding why this...
How do I use the correct password if Its randomly created?
I can't get metasploit to connect to the DB. I run all the things that previous threads have said to do, such as start postgresql and metasploit and adding it to the startup, but when I run...
are you sure wlan0 is the correct interface?.. mine is wlan2. Mine worked straight out of the box great. I just use airmon-ng start wlan2 and then airodump-ng.
For some reason, the only way I can get wash to show networks is if i disconnect from any network that I'm currently connected to and then run it. And in those forums above me, someone said to add a...
