If you don't mind you're able to try use the kali-linux-1.0.5-i386 .
I've try to install it on VMware Fusion with OS X 10.8.5 i7 . It works .

If you don't mind you're able to download the latest version of Kali ( Kali Linux 1.0.5 ) then run "setoolkit" via terminal.
It works for me .
Based on the error message above it seems that you couldn't connect to the kali linux update server . So Please make sure you have the internet connection and do "apt-get update" again . Don't forget...
I usually using the VMware Fusion to run the Kali Linux in My OS X. With the virtual machine you're able to simulate the pentest lab using some Operating Systems with any network configuration ....
Just use the -p option in the reaver command to Use the specified WPS pin to recover the WPA/WPA2 passphrase.

IMHO, you're able to install Kali using the same way with installing Kali Linux on the other ARM device. And make sure the disk space and memory size are compatible.
