Since Kali 2 I installed VeraCrypt to access my TrueCrypt volumes. And when it comes to TrueCrypt Vs VeraCrypt... from now on the may bury TrueCrypt.
I love VeraCrypt... It should be included in Kali 2. I believe it is the best maintained version of TrueCrypt.
