Cover the cable first in oil and then in Flour. It's a bit messy i know but it's one of the best isolation for 802.11 a to z!

had the same problem. wlanXmon is now your monitor mode - mon0. it works a bit.. had some problems with injections (aireplay -9 mon0) but that was under ubuntu 14.10 :)
