Make the changes to the grub.cfg file and then generate your ISO. Once the generation is complete then use the PERL script on your new iso file that is mentioned in the thread Crash linked.

Not sure if you are still doing this or not but would love to have it for Note 10.1 2014 edition. I see it mentioned in this thread but don't see the download anywhere.
This can also depend on UEFI vs BIOS
For BIOS you can use the following PERL script on the ISO file itself and it will take care of any place ^G exists in the iso:
perl -p -i -e...
