I don't think Kali has linux-headers-generic. I can"t see it anyway. You will need to work out which kernel you are running
uname -rand then install the headers for that kernel.
sudo apt-get...
You need to make sure the kernel headers are installed....
Did you have any errors when running
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic build-essential git ?
And, just checking, you are doing...
The page explains how to do it ...but you will need a working internet connection in Linux.
If you do some googling, you can find the driver in Windows, then save it and boot into Linux and copy it...
