You will find all Wallpapers (in many different size) inside the kalifs-full-rolling.zip. You use this file during the Kali install
Open your downloaded zip file and navigate to the wallpaper folder...

Which version of nethunter do you use ?
Kernel Version ?
Which Android OS ?

Please post the "dmesg" output after you plugged in the TL-WN722N.

So i have some questions:

i installed NetHunter 3.1.0 Nightly from here https://idlekernel.com/nethunter/nightly/3.1.0-20160524-1936/ on the current CM13 (ZNH0EAO2O0).
And flashed Phreya Kernel and Update file from...

It works just great! Runs on my OPO and on my Nexus 7 2013.
Big improvment for NetHunter with a nice mobile webinterface :D

It not an issue with android but maybe also with the Kernel!
You use Android 5.1.1 or 6.0.1 ?

Have a Nexus 7 2013 (LTE-Version) on Android 6 with a working wlan1 (TL-WN722N). ;)

Have also a Nexus 7 2013 but the LTE Version (deb) with a TL-WN722N and Nethuner 3.0. Same Setup as you with 6.0.1 clean install...

Only Lollipop is offical supported.

Does it make sense to invest time and power in an old Android build ? In my eyes, no.
What about the security patches ? Is your KitKat still secure ?

Please remove the "-p" from the adb push command at line 50 & line 55 in the twrpFlash.sh and try it again.

i installed Nethunter 3.0 on my Nexus 7 2013 Deb (LTE-Version) with the new Linux Installer from scratch. Used the Android Version 6.0.1.
If i want to add a MetaPackage "kali-linux-wireless"...

For what ? The whole concept for Nethunter is based on the mobility and handy. That´s lost inside a VM.
In that case you should use Kali itself - not Nethunter.

I installed my Nethuner completly new (Factory reset) with the current 1.2 Lollipop Version on my Nexus 7 2013.
But my external Wifi-Adapter (TP-Link TL-WN722N) does´t come up. Wasn´t a problem...

You can try to download the packages from github with your client and copy them to the nethuner chroot.
If i have some freetime i will try the same and see where the problem is.

Can you tell me where the default Kali Kernel config is ?
Tried to compile a new Kernel with iptables support direcly on the Raspian Pi - but there is no config file as here described...

You can not use the internal Wifi-Adapter for this. No monitor mode/injection is available with this chipset.
So use a external one. But there is still a kernel missing. Check the pwnie express...

PS2 keyboard workaround does the job!
So there is no usb support this time...
