But today I can't seem to get my eth0 back to work anymore... it doesn't do anything in wireshark neither... i can put it up and assign it an ip, but...

@rasta, i left it out, but it doesn't fix the problem. I can ping 8.8.8.8 , but i can't browse the internet on that XP.
