Automated email for failed login attempt

Is it possible to automate Kali Linux to send me an email whenever a failed login attempt occurs?

I'm not sure how to get the system to send an email when no one is logged in or how to set a task to run whenever a failed attempt happens. Help with either or both would be much appreciated.

Anyone have the answer for this old post? I would like to know how to attach a email on login attempts. I know I can see them on the computer but when away, getting a email about it would be awesome.
Guess I will try to set something up for this one. Trial and error. woot
