Building does not work on Lubuntu 12.10

Build-Essentials have been installed. The directory is on an external hard drive.

I had this problem too. In my case it was caused by a previous build being interrupted.

Try this:

lb clean --purge && lb build

Fortunately "Multisystem" has been updated yesterday and therefore I was able to install the original ISO onto my USB-Stick, so that a new build was not necessary except I want to use LXDE as my preferred desktop. So I will give the build one more chance.

Notice: Building an own distribution using LXDE does not work still.
