Question Question about reinstalling Kali Linux

    Hello

First of all, sorry if it is the wrong place for this question, just let me know where I should ask it.

After several update and upgrade, I noticed that at least two programs are no more working.
(It is dnsrecon, a problem with python and wp, a problem with ruby).
    Both were working weeks before.

I'd like to reinstall Kali with my usb key and have it when both programs were working (and stop to do much update and upgrade).

The problem is with the setup utility (InsydeH20). It shows me:

    File Browser Add Boot Option
    > kali : ...
    File Brower Del Bot Option
    > kali : ...

    UEFI BOOT:
    HDD1-kali ...

    There is nothing more.
I can't find the way to boot on my usb (that I used to installed Kali before).

The only thing that I can do is to make the HDD1 unreachable.

Do you have an idea how I can start my computer on the usb key?

    Thanks for your help.

use Balena etcher to create a bootable USB from a Kali ISO installer image (NOT the live boot image) when booting your machine boot from this created USB

use balena etcher, tell it what ISO image you want to write to and point it a target USB and wait for it to make the USB bootable.

then boot from it by pressing a button on keyboard, varies across models, can be F2, F7, Del key sometimes..
you'll have to check 'how to get into my BIOS' for your model PC
I've even known some Lenovo's to have a 'reset' hole to press for BIOS access..

Burn the USB key again, downlopad an up to date ISO image and use Balena-Etcher to write it to the USB

starting a computer from a USB drive is either a setting in the BIOS/UEFI or pressing a certain button on launch (usually in BIOS 90% time, which again is typically a button press at start up, or on some newer systems, sometimes a small 'reset' hole, certainly seen this on Lenovos)
