I can?t open software & upgrades

I have Kali linux with gnome, while I was trying to personalize my desktop I noticed that whe I try enter to software & updates. My screen truns blinks (turn black for a second) like if the applicaions is starting and but it doesn?t show. I alredy post this on gnome's forums and they told me this: "I would recommend you ask on a Kali Linux user support forum; they will help you gather enough information, in case there?s a bug upstream."

your using a non standard desktop manager, there is likley missing dependencies that you will have to fix on your own
