yes you can get locked out on some routers doing some scans/attacks, depends on the router I got locked out of my ISP supplied router a few times.
It's been a while since that happened but if I remember correctly the way to connect again was to change the interface IP to to a unused IP on the LAN
This doesn't matter. The program armitage in the latest kali is buggy for using XP. That is all.
