    Shutdown Problem

    Hi
    after i try shutdown (or restart) , operation of shut down start. but finally system does not turn off .

    What kind of machine are you using? Also, try the command "shutdown -h now" see if that does the trick.

    Why not use "poweroff" command instead?

    My System is Sony Vaio VPCB1
    I used "poweroff" and "shutdown -h" and not working

    Mine is working perfect ...check your intallation ISO(iso checksum)...may that was having bug while installation time.. happy linuxing
