Live Kali Linux won't boot anymore..

Hi guys,
I have a 16 gb live usb disk which operates Kali Linux. I have been using it for a week but suddenly today it didn't boot
I have tried to check boot options from bios but it doesn't boots anymore, and it says "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"
Waiting for any suggestions.

Have you some how made any changes on your usb stick ? Looks like your installation is corrupted. I recommand formating your usb stick and reinstalling Kali on it.

I can re-install kali but i want my changes, settings, installs back.

Is there a way to use my old persistence partion with my fresh kali install?

hmm the same thing happened to me the other day but i have been using Linux live to make live usb's. all i did was re install the iso and it still let me keep my persistence files.

Ok here is another question. My usb disk has two partions sdb1 (kali OS files) and sdb2(persistence). Am i going to use "dd if=kali.iso of=/dev/sdb1 bs=512k" instead of "dd if=kali.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=512k"
