Unable to playback dvds in vlc

Can someone please explain to me when i can't playback dvds in vlc in kali linux?

You need to install libdvdcss package, usually not instaled by defaults due some legal troubles.

the lib homepage http://www.videolan.org/developers/libdvdcss.html

Add one of this mirrors to your sources.list, contains several packages, for example flash http://deb-multimedia.org/debian-m

Direct download and install:
$ wget http://deb-multimedia.org/pool/main/...dmo1_amd64.deb
$su
#dpkg -i libdvdcss2_1.2.13-dmo1_amd64.deb

Please, google a bit and search for "what to do after installing Debian testing" or any other debian distro. You will find that need some libdvd and some more libraries. Also look into the link joseba posted.
