    Kali on ThinkPad X200 Stuck

    Hey everybody,

    when i´m installing kali on my x200 i choosed encrypted installion with LVM. When kali starts to make the partitions it takes veeeery long (almost 17% took around 2 Hours) . is this a normal process ?

    Encrypting can take an extremely long time and depends on a number of factors (disk speed, processing, etc). I've seen it 8+ hours to encrypt even a modest harddrive. Typically if I'm going to encrypt something (especially during an installation) I'll just kick off the install and go to bed

    But to answer your question: no, that's pretty typical in my experience, good luck!
