Making a live bootable Kali usb

Hey guys I am trying to make a live bootable Kali usb and I am running into an error. I followed the instructions on how to create an EFI bootable usb and I am able to get into the Grub bootloader where it says "Grub GNU version 2.00" and it leaves me with a terminal telling me to tab for a list of commands and then it shows grub>. I am trying to figure out what I need to do from here in order to boot kali. I do not want to install to my harddrive, I just want to boot from usb. Do I need to disable secure boot and enable legacy support? I am using an HP m6-k015dx if that is helpful.

    Thank you.

I have tried creating the usb using rufus as well as LiLi usb creator and I cannot get either to work. I have installed the efi files and can get into the grub GNU with the black screen but that is it. Where am I going wrong?
