problems to during installation of airdrop-ng

Hi all,

I have been trying to install airdrop-ng but fail during the installation of lorcon 2.

I searched on the forum and found this

While trying to apt-get libpcap and libnl got the following errors and cant continue

root@kl:/# apt-get install libpcap0.8-dev libnl-dev 
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
Package libpcap0.8-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
  libpcap0.8

E: Package 'libpcap0.8-dev' has no installation candidate
E: Unable to locate package libnl-dev

any idea?

I'm getting a similar error: *** Missing working libpcap library ***
I'm wondering if it has anything to do with this:
git clone https://code.google.com/p/lorcon
When you goto https://code.google.com/p/lorcon it says:
READ-ONLY: This project has been archived

Anyone have an answer??

i tested NOW installation & runs on kali 2.0 sana x64 fresh live mode in 9 steps:
steps 1-4 :

Is there a package that does the same thing as airdrop-ng already installed in Kali 2016.1?

I'm trying to figure out why airdrop-ng doesn't come pre-packaged. I'm very new to Kali Linux.

MTeams worked thru the suggestions We continue to get a pylorcon2 error message

We managed to get a file here:
clone https://code.google.com/p/lorcon

But cannot get it to compile. For further reading go here. If anybody gets this program to function please post the methods
