Scenario: I'm not at home. Only have 1 USB key. I just downloaded a file using Kali Live USB.

if I download a file, lets say a MP3 podcast, using Kali Live USB, where should I place this downloaded file on the USB key to be able to access it under Win7 later ?

  • The main FAT32 partition is not visible when using Kali Live, and it will not save the file after reboot anyways.

  • Windows does not show more than 1 partition on a USB. Therefore persistence or any other created partition is not visible.

so both OS will not show me the same partitions, make something as simple as saving a file using only 1 USB key complicated.

What would be your solution?
