I'm trying to compile the Alsa driver (1.0.25 (latest stable) for Kali linux and I keep running into this error during the make process. The configure passes through fine.

I'm running a AMD 64 bit (with i386 architecture installed) KDE build.
My soundcard is a Conexant 221 for my HP Pavilion 2940se laptop.
I'm not a code newbie, but I'm not an expert either. Any suggestions would be helpful.
