    Lightbulb GPU and notebooks

    Hello there,
I'm planning to buy a new notebook.
Some of features that I need is a GPU compatible with oclhashcat.
What would be the better GPU to acquire with the new notebook ?
I'm thinking about warm and if notebook is the good choice to crack week passwords using GPU.
Of course a cluster of GPU would be a really good choice
Please, I would like to know opinions and experiences.

    Thanks in advanced

Hi. It depends how much money you plan to spend on this. Any Nvidia with 1024 mb of memory woud be enough. Also you can try Ati card HD6XXX or HD7XXX. There is an opinion that Ati card a little bit faster for such a work. Thast all i can tell you my friend. . There is couple of treads on that topic on Back track forum. You shoud read them to figure out more and make some decision.

AMD cards are currently the way to go for GPU password attacks.
I have an HD 6750m in my laptop, and it does give a huge improvement in cracking speed over my cpu, but fair warning, your laptop will get HOT so be careful.

NOTE: I have not been able to get fglrx 9.012 (AMD Catalyst 13.1) working on Kali yet, I've had to boot into my Arch install to use oclhashcat-plus.

Update: I have gotten the catalyst driver working, follow this thread: http://forums.kali.org/showthread.ph...HD-4670-driver
