Question not user to start kali

I've installed kali linux-1.0.5-i386 . Everything looks fine. Until the system restart. It ask me for a user and pasword. The only password I wrote was the root password. The install program never askme for a username niether a user password. So the system kali starts good, but I can't acces to it.

Select "Other" in the login screen and hit enter.. Use root for the username and type in the password that you wrote down..
