Hi, I'm new also here. I'm an ubuntu and win user. been with backtrack then tried out this kali almost for a few months already. just wondering if i upgrade the distro of kali from wheezy to sid, is it advisable or safe? this would not affect or make any issues with the pen tools? thank you very much.

It is advisable you only keep the Kali repositories and that's it. Anything else will most likely break a lot of stuff.
Outside of that whatever is available for updating using the Kali repos should be safe.
