aireplay-ng fixed channel problem

When i run aireplay-ng it displays
Couldn't determine current channel for mon0, you should either force the operation with --ignore-negative-one or apply a kernel patch
I installed backports 3.11 driver for my realtek 8723 chipset.
How to overcome this problem

Have you tried running the ignore-negative-one option...?

With --ignore-negative-one switch the probledm disappears.. But whether there are some other thing i can do, like patches or anything, which could permanently resolve this problem

Well the advice from aircrack-ng is to either patch your drivers as explained on their wiki, or to use ignore-negative-one.
