I installed Kali on my Acer aspire V5 on a separate partition from windows 8. When I installed Kali linux, I installed Gnome at the beginning of the partition of my Kali installation. Once I installed Kali linux, for some reason the BIOS couldn't boot from my Kali partition, and when I tried to create a new entry for the windows bootloader with Kali and did lots of things but none of them let me boot Kali linux. I ended up removing the Windows bootloader entry by accident and it actually made it work, the Laptop now boots from GRUB.

My problem is that the GRUB doesn't recognize Windows 8 for some reason, and now I can't boot into Windows 8. The partition is fine, and it seems to have all of its original system files, but I just can't boot into it. I've tried to update grub by running the update-grub command but that didn't work, and I couldn't find any other solutions. I also tried to boot from the recovery partition (By holding down alt and F8 on my computer) and it went straight to the GRUB bootloader for some reason, I don't know why.

I ran the boot-info script and the results are here:

My Kali version is 3.4.2 with amd64 architecture, and its KDE. I've installed Kali on my Acer Aspire V5 notebook. I have secureboot and fastboot disabled and I am still running BIOS on UEFI mode.

Thank you very much for any help you can give me.
