    Openbox Menu

    Hi everybody,

I am building a port of the Kali menu for openbox which includes the nice icons.
All menus and submenus are already finished. Now I just have to do the launchers (still a lot of work).

Menu file and instructions can be found here:
    https://github.com/pantu/kali-openbox-menu

Btw: I am using urxvt as a standard launcher for now (which could easily replaced via editor's replace function).
So any reason here against urxvt ;-) ?
And btw, how would I create a launcher that starts the users default terminal instead of a fixed one?

Any other openbox guys/girls around here?

    Check the Openbox wiki:

    XDG Application Menus

Python XDG menu from Fedora This is a very complete XDG menu solution, works flawlessly, and is one of the few, if not the only one which supports custom user menus, meaning you can edit your menus with alacarte or any XDG menu editor.

    desktopmenu.php Create an XDG menu.

obx-xdgmenu.tar.gz Create an XDG menu. (Improved Version)

openbox-menu This generates menus for Openbox from the applications installed on the system and keeps them always up to date.

Openbox:Pipemenusbam Openbox Application Menu reads .desktop files from multiple directories to construct a flat menu. This is especially useful if your system doesn't have working XDG or Debian menus.

See User:Baavgai's page for additional scripts.
