Here's my issue. I downloaded kali-linux-1.0.5-amd64.iso from kali.org. Then I put the .img onto a DVD. I can live boot from this DVD fine. So I used it to install to a DYNEX external hard drive. I just bought this drive so I know its completely clean nothings on it. I double checked it was empty and ready to use. Next I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port on my laptop. During partitioning something went wrong. I am not sure what, but I was able to fix this issue by putting the hard drive into the internal hard drive slot on my laptop. The install went fine. I can also use kali linux completely fine as long as the hard drive is in the internal slot. However, I wish to keep my windows hard drive in the internal slot and I want kali to be on the external hard drive. Upon boot, I get passed the Grub absolutely fine, then this is the errors I run into.

I have researched the topic. It seems people have been able to solve this issue by doing this http://www.geekdevs.com/2010/04/solv...ling-ehci_hcd/ I am not sure how to do this in kali linux.

I have tried going into the command line of kali linux by pressing e then f2 in the Grub and then typing this

This is suppose to work. So yeah this is where I am at. I'm a bit frustrated and if anyone could help that would be great.
