    Reaver/Dependency Installation Issues

I have tried installing the reaver dependencing and keep getting this message:

    ~# apt-get install libpcap-dev sqlite3 libsqlite3-dev libpcap0.8-dev
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
Package libsqlite3-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

Package libpcap0.8-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
    libpcap0.8

E: Unable to locate package libpcap-dev
E: Package 'libsqlite3-dev' has no installation candidate
E: Package 'libpcap0.8-dev' has no installation candidate

I went to the Dependencies **** thread and followed ltdanno advice and efited my sources.list to below and tried the above steps again but getting the same message.
    deb [arch=i386,amd64,armel,armhf] http://http.kali.org/kali kali-dev main contrib non-free
    deb [arch=i386,amd64,armel,armhf] http://http.kali.org/kali kali-dev main/debian-installer

    deb [arch=i386,amd64,armel,armhf] http://http.kali.org/kali kali main contrib non-free
    deb [arch=i386,amd64,armel,armhf] http://http.kali.org/kali kali main/debian-installer
    deb-src http://http.kali.org/kali kali main contrib non-free
    deb http://repo.kali.org/kali kali-bleeding-edge main
    ## Security updates
    deb http://security.kali.org/kali-security kali/updates main contrib non-free

**** i even tried downloading the dependencies and instaling it manually but it would not let me. Just not sure what to do now. I just want reaver to work.

I strongly suggest to read the repos docs first: http://docs.kali.org/general-use/kal...t-repositories

Then try to install it again.

Someone posted some issues like yours and fixed it by removing it and reinstalling again, some others went to download the reaver from its homepage and installed it.

I do not know why are you issuing multiarch in repos. is not needed.

Do you really know what are you doing?.....

Search the forums for the reaver installation. I read some posts about that issue. But do not mess with your repos. Keep them clean and straight.

    Luck.

I got it worked out. I did not update after changing sources. Not used to linux but now everything is running smooth. Even found some scripts like LazyKali that makes things easier and getting more used to using commands.
