Well not sure where to start, I made a usb stick with kali (latest release) for live using the dd command that all went well it does boot into desk top, my sha1 numbers matched but my touchpad only works as a cursor and trying to tab around the screen only works to highlight said menu. I am using an eeepc 1005 peb 2G ram and an intel atom n 450 processor and a synaptics touchpad.. My BT installs all worked with this combination. I did some brief searching but could not find much information. I can't get the machine into console to even begin to root out the problem. Anybody else know my next step? If you could link me to some threads. I do not want to update to kali till I can get this worked out. All help links etc appreciated.
