Can't get windows 8.1 to boot kali

    Hey, my question is:

    I started with windows 8.1.
I partitioned myself a slice of my HDD.
    I installed kali.
I didn't install grub because I want to use the windows 8.1 bootloader.
I tried using easyBCD to add kali to the windows bootloader and neither letting easyBCD automatically figure it out or telling it which partition kali was on worked.
(Here's a guide that shows exactly how I tried to use easyBCD. Here )
Windows boots just fine. Kali won't boot.
How can I get the windows bootloader to boot kali for me?
    Thanks so much!

  2. I haven't tried this, but I did find a tutorial that seems to be what you are looking for:

Windows guys aren't of help. The bootloader seems to be working. I just don't know how to get it to recognize Kali. That's why I'm here.

That all looks correct, but doesn't work for me.
I'm wondering if I manually edit the windows boot loader like this if it would work.
I'm wondering if someone here knows what I would need to add to the bootloader to make Kali boot.
Do I need to add an .efi file to something, or is it just getting a line of something added to the windows bootloader, and if so what?

    Yes.
I'm partitioned with GPT, and using UEFI. It's enabled in the BIOS, and windows 8.1 boots fine and I've had it boot ubuntu 13.10 x64 successfully.
