IP issue???????..Internet access is about DNS, gateway, "did not pay the monthly fee" and "someone disconected the incoming cable (service) from the router"....

Let's focus on the first 2.

Besides the man is posting a pic and it shows clearly an ip, netmask and bcatst...That IP came from dchp server in the router.

If you were able to get an IP from dhcp server and that means you are authenticated into the router by the way, you have to see your /etc/resolv.conf file as well as the /etc/network/interfaces file.

I'm not sying you modify them, just look at them and see if any DNS server in /etc/resolv.conf and "iface eth0 or wla0 inet dhcp", allow-hotplug etc...

    Please post both files..

It is not about IP, unless you modified the interfaces file to static ip...

My dear friend john2, I would strongly recommend you to open a new thread. Include what exactly is your problem and if the kernel is seeing the wifi device.
