Cisco vpnc does not work from Network Manager

I have installed the Cisco vpnc packages and when I go to the Network Manager to create a VPN connect, it is in the list. After I create the connection I use the Network Manger to start the VPN connect and I get nothing. No message and no connection. I have check the syslog and there is nothing in it either. Yet when I run vpnc-connect script I get a connection and when I run the vpnc-disconnect the connection is terminated. What is wrong with the Network Manager configuration that it will not start the VPN connection?

    Thank You,

    David

seeing same problem. I follow the various instructions around the net to get vpn setup, I click the menu entry for my VPN connection and nothing happens.
