To make a long story short, During the Kali Linux installation there was an option related to some "Mirrors" I selected YES and finished the installation successfully and was able to install some software such as open office, software center, etc... But when I rebooted the PC for the first time it would get stuck on a black screen right before the login screen.
After re-installing several times trying different stuff I selected NO when during the installation I got to the part about using "Mirrors" and that actually (and I really don't know why) fixed the black scree problem... However now when I tried to install libre office and other software I am getting the following error message:
Package XXXXXXXX is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
Thanks for reading through and for your help.
