Alfa awus036nhr v2
Ok so i just got a ALFA AWUS036NHR V2 to play around with i dont know what the problems with v1 was but pn the v2 when i run armon-ng it lists it as unknown chipset but a rtl8192cu driver.
when i tried to put it in monitor mode it went with no problems but when i ran airodump i kept getting bad PWR reading anywhere from 36 to 106 on my router which is less than 5 feat away i will test it out more tomorrow but this is what i got so far.

Yeah I have one of the mini USB B/G/N cards with the rtl8188cu chipset (runs off 8192cu driver) and I have the same problems. It also has problems seeing clients...

i have also noticed it not detecting access points i wonder how i would go about fixing this.

I noticed the other day on some page that when I spotted the NHR I actually squinted my eyes and gave it the evil look.
That's some actual PTS right there. Who gets PTS fom a wifi radio? I don't even know how I'd explain it to a Dr
Anyway, v2 seems to have the same adorable qualities of the original.
