installing kali linux on MacBook Pro retina late 2012

    dual booting mavericks and kali

    install refind bootloader

    download kali burn onto cd/dvd

run disk in live mode , install from inside kali

when you come to the boot loader , don't choose your master yet /dev/sda. put something false so you will get a error. use your ext4 partition.

this give you the options to install lilo boot loader , start installing boot loader , to /dev/sda (mbp) choose no for both pop ups , this install will fail.

brings you back to options to choose from, choose your grub boot loader but this time install correctly to /dev/sda/.

complete the install as normal. reboot and enjoy .

Got Kali installed without 3rd party software. Just 10.9, Kali, and holding alt during boot to load Kali.

Have you had any luck installing the Nvidia drivers and having them load without going to black screen or nuking the xorg.conf? I've seen a few posts saying it's working with gfx switching. Thinking next step will be start from scratch.
