Nvidia driver installed but gdm3 service doesn't work

Sorry for my english, i'm italian.

The nouveau drivers work quite well but i want TO install proprietary drivers

I have installed nvidia drivers 331.20(latest) for my gt540m on Acer Aspire 5750G.

My os is the last Kali 64 bit with 3.7.2-0 kernel.

The installation works perfectly(asse in the kali's guide) but when i reboot the screen is black and i log with ctrl + alt + F1

I tried to start, stop, reinstall gdm3 service but int still doesn't work

I thought that the problema is the org.conf file automaticalli modified by nvidia installer(.run), but i don't know...

The 540m has the "Optimus" technology, that is a pain in the *** on Linux. Nvidia doest give the support for it... i have the 750m and within all distros i've used (Fedora, Ubuntu, Slack and Kali) none of them with the oficial driver works directly...

You'll need a Bumblebee tutorial to make it work... i recommend this one:
    http://underc0de.org/foro/dudas-gene...en-kali-linux/

Anyway, to give a shot... befoe trying the tutorial, try to rebuild Xorg confs with the command:

    # Xorg -configure

This will try to probe all your devices and build a xorg.conf... called xorg.conf.new that will be writen in /root/

You can test it, withou doing any changes, by:

    #Xorg -config /root/xorg.conf.new

If erros occurs during the process, you can try to solve them or try the tutorial above.

prova ad eliminare il file xorg.conf
    try to delete xorg.conf
