nah not really. And one of the original question remains. What make/model do you prefer and why? Thank you for the list. I would like to have real life experience feedback with some of those devices. The size of those devices is appealing, and at the same time the size of the screen is worrying.

I understand the question clearly. The thing is, no true enthusiast of pen-testing will offer a "best" solution when clearly everyone's needs are a bit different. You have factors such as cost, experience, familiarity, and requirements among others to consider. There aren't many people in the active community who has tried each and every device to offer a "best" suggestion. Besides, if you do follow the advice of one who suggests a "best" device to install Kali, you may not agree after the fact because of the factors to be considered. I am not having it out in the discussions rather offering some insight to try each one on your own and learn about them in depth and then answer than question based off of your own experience.
