Problems using Alfa AWUS036H for kali in virutal box

Hello,

I am having problems getting kali to recognize my Alfa AWUS036H adapter. I am running the os in virtual box. The adapter works fine for my windows 7 host machine. I have gone to the usb tab for the virtual machine and checked the box to enable the adapter. When I launch kali i go up to devices and then usb devices. I click on the adapter and it gives me an error. It says...

Not to get your hopes up on an answer but I wanted to say I am having the same problem, except my host system is Windows 8. I have Kali Linux in VMware and just can't get my AWUS036H to work. Sometimes it recognizes it, sometimes it doesn't but either way it still pulls up this same error code. I hope we both find the answer sometime soon.
