    Boot from USB while still keeping some space storage

    Would it be possible to make a bootable usb with Kali on it, while still keeping some space intact for storage? The partition for Kali should also preferably be encrypted. I've looked a bit around in the installation menu but I haven't been able to figure out how to both keep space for storage and have the Kali partition encrypted. If anyone could post a step by step guide or maybe link me to something, that world be great!
    Thanks.

    I'm not sure if thats possible, but you MIGHT succeed to do smth like this:
    * format the USB to FAT32
    * use LiLi (ofc, you can use whatever you want but I recommend this one because I never had any issues with it) to create a bootable drive
    * boot into Kali, shrink it's partition
    * create a new one
    * get back to windows, open up disk management, right click on the Kali partition, change the leter or path (I believe thats the option's name) and click remove.
    Theoretically, this might result in making a bootable flash, that, in windows only shows up as the second partition you created in Kali.
    Note: I've never tried this, and I'm not sure if that's possible, but it's a suggestion you could try.
