    Kali on USB don't starts

    Good evening forum,

my problem is similar to that of Loner, a few threads down.
    I Installed Kali Linux 1.0.5 i386 on a 64 GB USB-drive.
First I did it with unetbootin 5.85, later I followed the official Kali HowTo.

The problem is, that the stick don't boots on any pc. I tried it on two desktop pc and one notebook, all three operating with Ubuntu 12.04. One notebook with Windows 8.
All four appliances with looking at the USB-port for booting.

Now it seemed, that I have to prepare something else in the bios, but I didn't understood what Loner made.
Is there anybody who could help me please?

    TIA,

    MGSchmidt

  2. If its something in the bios, then you are looking for an option somewhere, that should be under the heading of "System Boot Order", or "Startup Boot Order" or something that has to do with boot drives order. Normally it will read like, 1. CD-Rom, 2. Master HDD, 3. USB Device, 4. LAN, 5. Borg Interlink Node etc...

You will want to change the order so that USB device reads as number one. Also, a 64GB usb might be a usb3 device, try it in a usb2 port for compatibility.
