Hi, I'm relatively new to the computer world in one sense. I've used computers all my life but I've been more on the user friendly side. I'm now trying to learn more about computers and understand the parts and tech of computers.
So I've found a Dell B110 in my garage and am trying to get it up and running. (well)
Right now it's current operating system is Windows Xp home edition
I have 512 Mb of RAM
and I upgraded the BIOS to A01
Then my knowledge runs out and I have pointless information to me.
I copied down Celeron(R) CPU 2.53GHz then it repeats 2.53GHz
Also my service tag on the dell website is J30N391
I'm now attempting to install Kali Linux onto it.
Kali Linux 1.0.5 32-Bit ISO is what I copied to a 4 Gb sandisk Cruzer
Then, I Booted up my computer and hit F12 to get to the boot menu
I navigated down to the USB boot option and hit enter
Then after about 15 seconds of nothing happening everytime I hit the keyboard it would only make a beep
I've attempted this about 5 times. Nothing changed
