    SSD harddrive encrypted

    Hey All,

    have a request...
anyone interested in helping me with decrypting an SSD that is encrypted and of which the usb key / passphrase is lost?
by accident, the usb drive that holded the key got formated en rewritten.
Can't access the SSD and the documents on there are very important...
    more update as progress follows.

    revised:
ow, forgot to mention, it a bitlocker encryption.
have tried almost everything possible with the aid of bitlocker FAQ and commands.
    Nothing came out of it.
was hoping to do it with Kali Linux
But have very little knowledge in doing this...

    kind regards,
    John

  2. I've read of commercial services that make it promise for this kind of request. However if the usb which contained the only set of private keys was formatted... maybe it was a low lvl format so don't use the USB for anything and see if you can run a recovery on it for lost files. Hopefully you can recover the key and save the data.. Otherwise I don't see it happening unless you have friends at the NSA
