Freezes at Loading initial ramdisk

I installed kali linux along side windows 8 using live usb created using lili usb creator, installed successfully. From the grub menu when i select kali linux it freezes on "loading initial ramdisk...".
My laptop is lenovo g505s AMD-A10 1Tb hdd 8gb ram dual graphics(ATI)

I used nomodeset while booting but no luck.

Searched over internet. Problem seems to be with video mode or graphics driver (not sure) .

while trying desperately to get kali linux running, i thought maybe use boot repair disk and reinstall grub. i didnt expected it to work but to my surprise i can successfully boot into kali and windows 8.

I strongly suggest to read the usb installation method from kali docs. The lili usb creator is not mentioned there, just "dd command" and the win32 disk imager.

I overlooked it thinking that its fine to use any utility to make bootable usb stick. Guess its wrong.
