Install from USB hanging at Detect Network Install

I am using the 64 bit 1.0.6 iso from the kali webite. I imaged it to a 4Gb USB drive using the Win32 imaging program. I can get all the way to the detect network hardware and then it freezes. The only thing I can do at that point is hard shut down the computer. I read at
    http://www.kalilinux.net/community/t...k-hardware.66/
that I should try and CTRL C to break the detect network hardware script when using the regular install. I have tried to disable the NIC in the BIOS, but that also has not helped. I have the computer directly connected to my modem, and have also tried using wireless, both giving the same results.

I have tried using both the graphical install and regular install.

    I am using a Samsung NP - RF408
    with
    Intel i5 @ 2.67GHz
    4Gb DDR3
    64 bit

Any and all help would be appreciated.

    Thank you all in advance.

Try booting Kali from the usb on your notebook without installing. Check if it recognizes the network adaptors.

I too had the same problem. I am using BCM4313 chipset. When I run via live USB, it works fine. Only in the installation phase, it fails to recognize.

try installing the mini ISO. Disconnect ethernet cable. Disconnect any USB device connected to computer.

I was able to resolve this issue. I directly connected my laptop to my modem and then booted to the USB Live. From there I went to applications and dropped down to services (I believe). From there I choose the option to install kali and it worked. Got me past the detect network install portion. I have successfully installed once I got past that point. Thank you for all of your input and hopefully this helped some others as well.
