Connecting Raspberry Pi with Kali Linux to Window-Based Devices

I am working on a project where I would like my Raspberry Pi board with Kali Linux to connected and be recognized by my laptop running on Windows 8. We would like for the RasPi board to act as a bootable device to a Windows-based computer device. Would any of you have a recommendation as to what programs, software and/or peripheral attachments I could use to accomplish this?
