So me and my hacking buddy both bought the TL-WN722N because it was recommended to use by these forums but it has been a ****. We are both running Kali 1.0.6 in VMWare. When I put the device in monitor mode and try to run MDK3 mon0 b -s 2000 it works fine for about 20 seconds. It's sending with a solid 900 packets a second and the green light on the USB is flickering. After 20 seconds the green light stop flickering and stays on the green light. The packets go down to only 20-50 packets a second and the SSID's no longer send out.
When launching Wifijammer it just keeps looking for networks on the specific channel but doesn't actually begin the attack.
I had an RTL before this and I have never had any problems. My friend is having exactly the same problem.
What the **** is going on? I thought the TL-WN722N was really good. I thought it was just plug and play, right? Do I need to install any drivers or something?
